shopgirl2004: Squee (To Friendship! by shopgirl)
[personal profile] shopgirl2004

I had a dream last night about a guy I haven't seen in 17 years!  His name is Edward and he is from Australia.  He was part of my group of friends and when we all went our separate ways, I never saw him again.  Funny how someone (who I didn't even date) still comes to mind after so many years.  I decided to upload some of my boys from the 80's into my LJ gallery just because when I pulled Edwards picture out, there the boys were, just staring at me begging to be remembered.

Boys from the 80's

Clicking on the thumbnails will pull the picture up as well as a description I have put on each one.

Hope it brings a smile to my friends who know me now.  I was kinda freaky back then but god, I had my pick of guys.  Funny how when you get old and fat, pickin's are slim. LOL

hehe...yes, he really said it. Of coruse, when he asked who it was and i told him, the next comment was: what happened to her. I then told him, the same thing to happened to me. We got old and chunky. LOL

But don't worry about it. You WE'RE hot. My 16 yr. old said so. SMILE!!

I miss my glory days. And I too miss my pointy black suede boots.
But of course mine had little skull and crossbones on the buckles. LOL

Nice! I remember seeing some like that. As for our "mystery scene" from your mood icon previously, my girl is working on it and will hopefully get back to us soon. ;) She's my Spike-mentor.

Oh wow Nic! :D Those are awesome. God, looking at those makes ME nostalgic. Oh for the days of my multi-coloured hair. I think I will go listen to The Cure now........

Ah, yes. The cure. I met them after a concert in 1988. Robert Smith and Steve whathisname were both stoned out of their minds. LOL
I was more into Peter Murphy and Bauhaus during that time. Still love Peter Murphy. *sigh*
I do miss the days.
*hugs*

I love these pictures, Nic! What is it with Australian guys and their hotness?! I think your Edward has a smidgen of Michael Hutchence hotness (no offense if you don't think that M.H. is cute)surging through his bones.

You were totally '80's...it's amazing! I love your hair and that last picture is really cool with your strapless dress (when I was a kid in the '80's I always wanted a strapless dress cut like that at the top) and your eyes...very striking.

I was too young to get into really "cool" music back then, but I did love/worship Depeche Mode (still do) and The Cure. The Scoobies' MIA memeber Susan has most recently been introducing me to punk music and '80's strangeness of old like The Crucifux, Le Tigre, and The Sex Pistols. We watched "Sid and Nancy" a while back and it was pretty cool.

Sorry to write a bible, but I really love looking at old pictures and learning new things about people. I get nostalgic sometimes too, and I totally understand how you feel when you sort of sit there and wonder, "Whatever happened to so-and-so...?"

Thanks for sharing!
Mel

I love your bible writing! LOL
Yes, I wonder what it is about Australian guys too. And yeah he does look like Michael in that pic. I always thought he was attractive too. LOL but in actuality, Edward always looked like John Taylor of Duran Duran to me. I think, but 10 times better looking. LOL Oh, I miss him. Think if I go to Australia, I could find him? Even though I can't remember his last name? LOL probably not.

That strapless? Get this... it was a bustier and I wore it with tight black jeans and knee high leather boots! LOL I'm also wearing a leather biker hat too but you can't really see it.

Those were fun days.
